Lake Toba is one of the largest lake in the world, and the largest in Asia. This lake was nominated for the natural wonders. The lake is around an island called Samosir and all the surrounding region called the Toba land or Batak land, North Sumatra Province of Indonesia.

Towards Lake Toba, you can pass through the north Sumatra capital Medan. From Medan to Lake Toba with land travel can be completed within 4 hours. Parapat is the entrance gate to the city of Lake Toba to Samosir Island. From Tigaraja, the port city you can reach Parapat and crossing to Samosir with a wooden boat or seed boat. By vehicles, you have to go through the city Ajibata about 1 km from Parapat. Specify other options to enjoy the panorama of the beautiful lake Toba. Another option is the city  of Balige, about 1 hour overland journey to the south Parapat. Balige can be reached 10 minutes from the Silangit airport  – Siborongborong. Another alternative to the Lake Toba is through Tele. With a trip to overland through Tele Kabanjahe, can immediately enter the island of Samosir. From Tele to Samosir Pangururan capital can be taken about 1 hour. Before Pangururan city, we will see the beauty of the sacred mountain Pusuk Buhit. On the mountain slopes in warm water bath. From Pangururan to be taken Tuktuk overland journey of about 1 hour.
