Lake Sentani is one of the largest lake in Papua. The extent of 9360 hectares and is located at an altitude of 75 meters above sea level. This tourist area is rich in diversity of marine life and animals unique endemic in Papua. One of the interesting places on Lake Sentani is the existence of a saw shark (Pristis microdon). This shark is also known as ‘shark Sentani’ because only in this location.

Because rich variety of marine life, Lake Sentani is a tourist location for swimming, boating, diving, fishing, water skiing as well. One type of fish is also interesting to note is that the original cork fish whose numbers had fallen sharply and increasingly rare. Kelimutu Lake located at the top of this Kelimutu entry in the series Kelimutu National Park. The lake is located at an altitude of 1631 meters above sea level. Some of the flora that can be found around the lake, among others Kesambi (Schleichera oleosa), Pines (Casuarina equisetifolia) and perennial flower Edelweiss.
