Ramayana Ballet, Drama in Typical Javanese Dance

Ramayana Ballet is the performing arts are wonderful, amazing and difficult unrivaled. This performance is able to unite various Javanese arts such as dance, drama and music on one stage and one momentum to present the Ramayana story, a legendary epos written by Valmiki in Sanskrit. Ramayana story that brought on this show is similar to that engraved on Prambanan temple. Like a lot of legend, Ramayana story carved on the Hindu temple similar to the story in oral tradition in India.

Roads are long and suspenseful story was summarized in four plays or act, the abduction of Sinta, Anoman mission to Lanka, Ravana’s death or Kumbhakarna, and the founding Sinta. All the stories presented in a series of dance movements presented by the beautiful dancers, accompanied by gamelan music. You are invited to actually dissolve in the story and observe each movement of the dancers to know the story. Ratu Boko Palace is a majestic building built in the reign of Rakai Panangkaran, one of the descendants of Wangsa Syailendra. The palace that was originally named Abhayagiri Vihara (monastery on a peaceful hill) was built for seclusion and a focus on spiritual life. Being in this palace, you can feel at peace at the same time view of the city of Yogyakarta and Prambanan temple with the background of Mount Merapi.

Tour History At The Oldest Temple In Java

The temple is situated in the Badut Tidar area, the city of Malang. This temple is estimated more than 1400 years old and is a relic Gajayana King, ruler of the kingdom Kanjuruhan as Dinoyo many inscriptions written in 760 AD. Clown said here comes from the Sanskrit “Bha-Dyut” meaning Highlight Agastya. This is evident in the parent room of the temple which contains a pair of statues that are not evident from the Shiva and Parvati in the form of Linga and Yoni.

On the outer walls there are niches containing statues and Nadiswara Mahakal. In the recesses of the north there are the statues of Durga Mahesasuramardhini. Niche of the east there are statues of Ganesh. And the South side is statues of Shiva as the Grand Master of the Agastya. But among all the statues were only statues of Durga Mahesasuramardhini just left. (more…)
